Surveillance Center personnel were able to retrieve video footage of the suspect breaking into a vehicle and tracked him eastbound on Atlantic Avenue. Police recognized the suspect as Lenard Daniels who had recently been charged for a car burglary and was wanted for another car burglary, both of which occurred in Atlantic City.
The investigation that led to Daniels being identified as the suspect was conducted by Officers Leah McHale and Courtney Campbell with assistance from Officer Zayon Pitts.
Daniels was charged with three counts of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Daniels was being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, police said on Saturday, Dec. 17.
